I found this while I was looking through some old CD's of my pics. I think it was shot in November of 05. I miss these things...

Shane and I found a screw coming loose from the wooden ramp in Maya Lin's Confluence Project installation on the Sandy River ('Bird Blind'). I pointed it out to her with a laugh as she was coming down the ramp (she had caught us eyeing it) and she yells "pull it out!"
(She's amazing, I think most people with her stature would have called the project manager to do it. Her projects are very community focused and her response was in line with that - treating me like I was a part of the team.)
She asked for it with a 'here' as she held out her hand, then took it to the guy in charge of the building project to talk it over with him. I asked for a picture and she walked over and stood next to me and right before the picture was taken held the screw high up in the air making everyone - including me - laugh.
It made for a wonderful moment in a really nice day filled with art and adventure.

Maya Lin after we took the picture where she held up the screw, she seemed to really get a kick out of it.
